Travel in Boston by car is tricky because of many one way streets, streets that curve and change names, construction in some parts, and a general lack of parking. Many Boston residents choose to travel mainly by subway (Called "the T"), foot, or taxi. If you plan to drive yourself, count on extra time and call ahead for directions and parking information. While there are some parking garages throughout Boston, be prepared to pay as much as $5 an hour, or $15-$20 for a day.

The hotel is located on School Street in the midst of downtown Boston near the Northeast corner of the Boston Common.

From Logan International Airport

Warning!The area around the tunnel is under construction. Accessible roads might change from day to day.

Follow the signs to Boston through the Sumner Tunnel. Turn right up the entrance ramp onto " Expressway 93 North". Stay left when exiting the tunnel, then several more lefts through a twisty maze of roads under construction. After you get lost, call the hotel and ask for directions. Don't say we didn't warn you! (Seriously though, we'll drive the route and put in better directions once we see which roads still exist this week.)

To Arlington Street Church - 351 Bolyston Street - (617) 536-7050

The church is located at the corner of Arlington and Boylston Streets in the Back Bay. It is directly across from the Boston Public Garden and next to the Ritz Carlton Hotel. Entrance for the rehearsal is on the side door along Boylston Street. Entrance for the wedding is on main door along Arlington Street.

From the Omni Parker House (walking)

From the main doors (facing out with front desk behind you), turn left and walk along Tremont Street enjoying the view of the Boston Common. Turn right onto Boylston Street and walk 2 blocks till Arlington Street. The Church is at the intersection of Arlington Street and Boylston Street. Aproximately 20 minute walk.

By subway from the Omni

Take any WESTbound GREEN Line train to the ARLINGTON T Stop. The church is on the same corner as the exits. Aproximately 5 minute ride, 5 minute walk, and 5 minute token purchase.

By car from the west

Take Storrow Drive to the Copley Square exit. Proceed on Clarendon Street to Boylston Street. Turn left on Boylston street and look for street parking OR proceed ahead on Clarendon Street and park in the Back Bay garage.

From the Arlington Street Church (walking)

Turn right onto "Boylston Street". Go 2 blocks and turn left on "Clarendon Street". Follow Clarendon Street turn right onto "St. James Ave. The Fairmont Copley Plaza will be on the left. Aproximately 15 minute walk.

From Logan International Airport

Follow the signs to Boston through the Sumner Tunnel. Turn right up the entrance ramp onto " Expressway 93 North". Take the "Storrow Drive" exit on right. Follow "Storrow Drive West" and take the "Copley Square" exit. Turn right onto "Beacon Street". Go 2 blocks and turn left on "Clarendon Street". Follow Clarendon Street 5 blocks and turn right onto "St. James Ave. The Fairmont Copley Plaza will be on the left.

From Western MA & Points South Via The Mass. Pike

Follow Mass. Pike (I-90) east to the Copley Square/Prudential Center exit 22. Follow the Copley Square Exit and take your first left onto "Dartmouth St". The Fairmont Copley Plaza will be on your right.

From Points South via I-95 & I-93

Follow I-95 North to I-93 North. Take exit 17-18 "Berkeley/East Berkeley/Massachusetts Ave." Bear right along exit for "Berkeley/East Berkeley". Turn left at 1st set of lights on East Berkeley 5. Follow East Berkeley to Berkeley and turn left onto St. James Ave. The Fairmont Copley Plaza is 2 blocks down St. James on your left.

From Points North via I-95 or I-93

Follow I-95 South to I-93 South. Take exit 26 " North Station Storrow Drive". Follow Storrow Drive West to the Copley Square Exit. Turn right onto "Beacon" and follow 2 blocks. Turn left onto "Clarendon" and follow 5 blocks. Turn right onto St. James Ave. The Fairmont Copley Plaza will be on your left.

To the Ritz-Carlton - 15 Arlington Street - (617) 546-5700

From the Massachusetts Turnpike:

Take Copley Square Exit (22). At light take a left onto Dartmouth Street. Follow Dartmouth through two sets of lights until you get to Commonwealth Avenue, which is the third set of lights. Take a right onto Commonwealth Avenue and follow to the end. At light take a right onto Arlington Street. The Hotel is on your right.

From 93 North:

Take 93 South into the city. Bear right onto Storrow Drive, follow signs to Back Bay. Exit at Copley Square and turn left at first light and right at the second onto Arlington Street. Proceed two blocks. The Hotel is on your right after Commonwealth Avenue.

From 93 South:

Exit at Kneeland Street/Chinatown. At the stop light turn left onto Kneeland Street. Drive approx. 3 blocks until Kneeland Street turns into Stuart Street. Stay in right-hand lane and bear right onto Charles Street South. Continue on Charles Street, which runs beside the Public Garden, until you reach Beacon Street; this will be the third set of lights. Take a left onto Beacon Street. At the first set of lights, take a left onto Arlington Street and follow Arlington two blocks keeping to the right. The Ritz-Carlton is immediately on your right.

From Logan Airport:

Follow signs to Sumner Tunnel. After exiting the tunnel, take second right onto 93 North. Follow 93 and exit at Cambridge/Storrow Drive. Follow Storrow signs to Back Bay and exit at Copley Square. Proceed two blocks. The Hotel is on your right after Commonwealth Avenue.

Back Bay Parking - 500 Boylston Street

Boston Common Parking -- this is located under the Boston Common with an entrance on Charles Street. It's about a seven minute walk from the garage through the Public Garden to the Ritz-Carlton or Arlington Street Church.

The Ritz-Carlton also has a parking garage as well. The valet location is on Newbury Street near the corner or Arlington Street.
